This is a certification of French-language abilities for non-native speakers, administered by the International Centre for French Studies (CIEP) for France's Ministry of Education. It is available at different levels which correspond to the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages (CEFR), from A1 (beginner) to B2 (upper intermediate).

Specifically designed for younger learners aged about 12 to 17, the DELF Junior is identical to the standard DELF in its structure and levels. The topics are tailored to be age-appropriate and engaging for teenagers.

This version of DELF is aimed at children who are primary school age, typically 8-12 years old. Like the Junior version, it assesses the same levels (A1 to A2 of the CEFR), but the materials and subjects are suitable for a younger audience.

This is a test used to measure the level of fluency in French of non-native speakers for work, immigration, or academic reasons. It evaluates a range of proficiency from beginner to advanced levels across listening, speaking, reading, and writing skills.
