Francophonie 2026 – Celebrate the French Language in Lahore

4–17 April 2026 — Celebrate the French language and the cultures of the Francophonie across Pakistan.

Francophonie refers to the global community of more than 320 million French speakers across five continents. It represents not only a shared language, but also a space of cultural dialogue, creativity, solidarity, and diversity.

Every year, countries around the world celebrate the French language and francophone cultures through cultural events, artistic performances, educational activities, and debates.

The International Organisation of La Francophonie brings together 88 states and governments committed to promoting the French language, cultural diversity, peace, education, and cooperation.

Francophonie Week in Lahore is part of this global celebration. The festival is a unique opportunity for schools and universities in Lahore to:

  • Promote French language learning
  • Encourage creativity and public speaking
  • Engage students in international cultural dialogue

From 4 to 17 April 2026, Alliance Française de Lahore will host a series of cultural and educational events celebrating the richness of the French language and francophone cultures.

The programme will include:

  • Artistic competitions
  • Film screenings

  • Cultural talks and interactive sessions

Francophonie Talents! – Artistic Competition 2026

As part of Francophonie Week, Francophonie Talents! is an artistic competition that brings together performers of all ages to showcase their talent in French — through music, poetry, theatre, dance, and more.

  • Dates: 4–17 April 2026
  • City: Lahore (Alliance Française de Lahore)

Performances may include:

Singing, poetry or slam, sketches, theatre or comedy, dance, music, or any artistic form connected to the French language and/or francophone cultures.

Competition Categories

  • Children Category: Ages 6–11
  • Youth Category: Ages 12–17
  • Adult Category: 18+
